On the weekend before school started, with a spontaneous idea in mind, and blessed with good weather, we embarked on a two-day-one-night trip.
The weekend’s crowd at the old streets of Bali and Danshui wasn’t as overwhelming. In the past, we would usually take the MRT to Danshui Old Street for a stroll, never considering the fun across the river in Bali by boat. Riding bicycles to the Park of Shihsanhang Museum, we found numerous children’s play facilities and an exciting large grassy area to slide on. Honestly, it was a bit nerve-wracking at the moment of sliding down because of the height, but once we let go, it wasn’t so bad after all. It once again proved the truth that “many fears are self-created.”
Slowly cycling along the bike path from the hotel, we enjoyed the perfect temperature, sunshine, and the salty scent of the sea breeze. I was captivated by such tranquility and beauty, feeling that spending two days and one night at such a spot would leave one wanting more, but three days and two nights would probably be even better. (Traveling is never satisfying enough 😛)
